KoHIT Hotel coordination

Hi guys!

I don't have any deals with hotels this year, because there are no obvious ones in the vicinity of the site (next year we'll possibly move somewhere else, more central again).

Two hotels that did work well in the past are

Hotel Europa - which offers decent rates for rooms with 3 or 4 beds and is close enough to walk (not very close, though) and certainly if you are coming by car.

Hotel Conti is at the train station and therefore offers a direct bus to the location - it's also right at the edge of the city center.

Both hotels share a common website.

For those on a budget there always is the Sleep Station with rooms for up to 8 people. This is also directly at the train station with a bus to the tournament site.

Traditionally the Greek players like to stay at the Moevenpick Hotel, but it is at the other end of town and requires you to take a car or taxi (given the lack of parking not the worst of ideas) to the site.

Beyond that: There are a lot of KoHIT veterans on this forum, so feel free to ask for additional tips and experiences from previous years!

I just looked at Hotel Europa for 7th - 9th November and it seems that there are no rooms available for the 8th (single or double).

Same for the Hotel Conti.

If people want to share a room at the sleep station I would be interested. But that still depends on my financial situation, things are not looking so good atm.

I will be staying in the very cheap Hotel Mi Casa this year. However, as this hotel is approximately 5800 miles from KoHIT, I will not be attending any events.

we (Phandrix, Imp, Cardamus and est. Marcel) are staying at Pension Asche (www.pension-asche.de) it's about 10 minutes with the car to the "Cardinal-Creigh-Heim". Dunno if he has any free rooms to offer. Just write him a mail.

SleepStation has no rooms left. I tried to book a few seconds ago. Trying to find a flat for the weekend now.

Try IBIS Hotel in Munster... it's 1 Km away from the tournament site.

Italy Team will sleep there!
